Dear Trainee Teachers supposed to get admission in B.Ed Course , Session -2023-25, Myself On behalf of the entire institution, would like to extend a warm welcome to you all .As you embark on this new journey, it is important to remember that you are not alone. We are here to support you and guide you in every stage and in every step of the way.
Being an age old college established in 1955 Government training College Hooghly is very famous in our state and deserves praise in carrying out the Rules and regulations of Higher Education of West Bengal for quality sustenance in the field of Teacher Education.
The development of a quality educational system largely lies on the committed members of the faculty, quality infrastructure, supportive administration, large pool of learning resources and last but not the least, hardworking and brilliant students. You will be glad to hear that our college primarily focuses on making our students a good human being and also a successful professional through a strategic teaching of both theoretical and practical aspects during the course of Teacher education. I am highly encouraged to share that many of our students, who have emerged from our college with flying colours are now occupying higher positions in several renowned organisations both in India and abroad. They have succeeded in many respects and I am very certain that all the current students will also reach the same peak of success.
I heartily welcome all the fresher students to our college and ensure that we will do everything possible to equip you with the best possible teaching resources, practical exposure and training methods so that you are able to shape up your life and career for a challenging world out there. In our college, we believe in inspiring minds, improving their intellectual capacity and building characters which our students will treasure for their lifetime. Additionally, we endeavour to inculcate social values and principles of personal excellence and care for others.
Our college is associated with a few Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and Private B.Ed Colleges working for the benefit of deprived children and women. We encourage our students to contribute towards the benefit of the society by getting involved with these NGOs in any which way possible.
Our college is distinct in terms of going an extra mile in identifying and appreciating the emerging talent by awarding them with certificates and cash reward on top of the prevailing set of scholarships.
